To each their own :] Just because I enjoy cooking outdoors with music doesn't make my experience more harmful to the environment or those around me. I am not a backpacker, nor an outdoorswomen. I choose to camp in places that aren't extremely remote because I am not equipped to do that. I live in an 800 sq foot apartment so cooking outdoors is a cathartic experience for me. Just like bird watching or backpack camping is for you. I am always friendly and respectful to neighbors, share my food and leave no trace. Instead of criticizing people's preferred style of enjoying the outdoors, why not educate people on how you like to do it so. I'm sure your readers would enjoy that. Food for thought.
